Harribitxi, formed by Iker Álvarez González and Aitor Urquiza Cirauqui, explores new paths in Basque traditional music.
Centred on the txistu, their sound brings together alboka, hurdy-gurdy, mandolin, Indian harmonium, shruti-box, bass pedals and an eclectic array of percussion instruments from different musical cultures. Playing multiple instruments simultaneously with hands and feet, they create a two-person orchestra where tradition meets experimentation.
Following their album Deiadar (2022), they released ALKIMIA (2025), an EP featuring Maria Ereña, who has since joined them on stage, expanding their sound with vocals and new sonic textures.
